My approach to therapy is integral. This means that I draw from multiple schools of thought and value approaching issues from more than one angle. I have training in psychodynamic/analytic traditions as well as mindfulness and behavioral techniques. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and relational: I believe we all show up perfectly imperfect in everything we do.
Another way of saying that is: I believe in understanding and addressing the root causes of my patients’ challenges, and helping them take charge of their symptoms in the present moment. I’m passionate about helping people develop new strategies to move towards the life they want.
I’m an East Coast native who fell in love with San Francisco more than a decade ago. I find joy in gardening, dancing, and the people in my life. In the therapy office, I believe in keeping things real and my style is conversational and down to earth.
Formally, I have a background in the creative arts, service, and infant and childcare. I received my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis on social justice and community building from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2014. I graduated in 2017 with my master's in Integral Counseling Psychology and am currently an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #104953) at The Center for Mindful Psychotherapy (CMP).
